OOTD featuring white embroidered bell sleeve top from Primark

When you want to do an OOTD post featuring a rose embroidered top, where else to go but the rose garden at Dunham Massey.

It's one of my favourite places and there's no better place on a beautiful sunny day, especially when looking for a rose themed OOTD location!

January Clothing Haul

Despite my very best efforts to not spend money in January, the shops lured me in...and not even into their sales!

To be honest, I needed some day clothes that didn't involve jeans and I certainly found lots in the shops.

New Year's Eve GRWM

I'm spending NYE this year with some very close friends of ours and I can't wait! I'm so excited. I've been planning my makeup for some time and bought the perfect outfit the other day from H&M. A balance of dressy and casual with some absolute girliness thrown in for good measure!

Autumn OOTD featuring birthday presents!

You may have seen ALL over social media that it was recently my birthday and I got thoroughly spoiled by my family and The Boy.

The Boy whisked me off to Leeds for a birthday weekend trip full of shopping and cocktails where we bought my birthday present from him to me, which is featured in this post.

Today, I visited Rufford Old Hall with my sister. She's taken a new job which requires working weekends so we haven't spent any time together at all recently. However, she was off today so we decided to take a walk around the grounds at Rufford Old Hall, enjoying the Autumn colours and weather! I exploited the opportunity to do my first real OOTD blog photos featuring two of my birthday presents!

5 ways to: Get Autumn Ready

I ADORE Autumn. It is my favourite time of the year. I feel like the weather is more guaranteed, it's my birthday, it's beautiful and don't get me started on Autumn fashion!

Each year, I find myself doing these little things to change up my wardrobe and makeup, ready for Autumn.

GRWM: Family Party

I've had a very busy month in September - lots of family birthdays including a very big one! My GRWM posts have been quite popular in the past so I thought I'd show you my makeup look for the big family party that we had at the beginning of the month, especially as I used some colour on my eyes. Most unusual for me!

This was the finished eye look:

Birthday Wish List

I've made a discovery which has made my (and Mr T's) life a LOT easier. Wishlistr. I've been using the Wishlistr extension for Google Chrome to add all sorts to my birthday list, then last month, emailed the list to Mr T with a couple of hints about mt favourites and relevant sizes. He'll thank me...haha!

You can find my wishlist here My wishlist (Mr T....! This is your SECOND friendly warning) which you can share via email, Facebook or Twitter. You can also choose a template to personalise it. Seriously! It's my latest love!

Creating a Capsule Wardrobe

I recently had a nightmare day tackling a pile of ironing after leaving the pile to grow and grow for weeks. I realised that I had SO many clothes, that I was able to leave the ironing for weeks and weeks and really, was there any need in life to have 8 identical black vests? So this tweet went out and the Great Wardrobe Clearout of 2016 commenced.

Creating a Capsule Wardrobe

The Clearout

The first job was to clear out my wardrobe. Now, I've "cleared out" my wardrobe before. And when I say cleared out, I mean threw out one top and a pair of shoes and felt justified in buying ten more items to replace them.

This time it is serious.

Anything that didn't fit, didn't suit or was a replication was out. Also, anything that I hadn't worn since September got the big NO. This was just ONE of the piles of clothes I created in the spare room.

The hardest bit was throwing out clothes that I'd never worn but have never fit me. It's time to be realistic...ugh!

I donated all the clothes to a local charity shop so hopefully, they'll find a good home somewhere.
Creating a Capsule Wardrobe

Planning

The next step in my grand journey was to start planning my capsule wardrobe using what I had left over. I wrote down lists of every item of clothing in my wardrobe in this gorgeous little notebook before heading over to Polyvore to create outfit collages.

Polyvore

You can follow me on Polyvore by clicking this link. I could spend hours on this website creating collages! I tried to use items very similar to items already in my wardrobe. I did add some new items in but tried to make sure that if I was going to buy new clothes, they were going to go with at least five other items.

Creating a Capsule Wardrobe

I'm still on the capsule wardrobe journey...and I know there's still horrors hanging on my rails that I still need to get rid of but my eventual aim is to have a wardrobe full of good quality classics that will create multiple outfits. Then any "fashion" pieces can be bought from cheaper stores and I won't feel so guilty about getting rid of them after the season is over! And hopefully, I'll never EVER have to tackle an ironing mountain again...

What would you say is a wardrobe essential? Could you create a capsule wardrobe?

Boutique of Molly Beri Poncho

I recently connected with Boutique of Molly on Twitter and quickly got hooked on their website. There's some gorgeous things on there which I adored. I soon had to make an order and had fallen in love with their Beri Poncho - so on-trend and perfect for the mild winter we'd been experiencing. Of course...as soon as it arrived, so did the snow! Haha!

This is the first time I've done an outfit of the day sort of post so I recruited my sister and my bestie to take some photographs on different days.

My Pandora Charms

I love Pandora and their bracelets and charms. I think they're great presents for people to remind them of special occasions in their lives. I'm lucky enough to have been given a bracelet a few years ago, which is nearly full and to receive a Pandora bangle for Christmas this year which I love!

Blogmas Day 6: Christmas gift guide - her

Is doing a gift guide the blogger's equivalent to going through the Argos catalogue and circling ALL the toys? I really think it is...! I've had great fun creating this gift guide so you can look forward to more versions :) Now...to redirect Mr T to this post...

Blogmas Day 1: Christmas Jumpers

I may live to regret this decision as I head into the busiest time of the year, but I'm going to attempt Blogmas - a post every day for 25 days. Eeeeeek!

I'll kick it all off with a seasonal favourite - the Christmas jumper. These have become so ubiquitous over the past few years that I don't think it would be Christmas without one now.

Birthday Goodies

It was my birthday at the end of October - my favourite time of the year. I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family so birthdays are a great excuse to get everyone together. However, this year, I was also really really spoiled by everyone! I got some great presents from everyone so thought I'd share them with you now.

Outfits with a black tutu

I made a special request for my birthday this year. All I've wanted for a few years now is a tutu. A grown-up, knee-length black tutu. I've been so frightened of it wearing me rather than me wearing it but I've done lots (and lots) of Pinterest, Polyvore and Google Image searching over the past few months and I've decided to take the plunge.

Sale haul featuring Warehouse and Oasis - floral prints

Sale bargains

I picked up some bargains in the Debenhams sale earlier in the month ready for my October trip to Cyprus.

I'm a flower girl in summer and love these prints which I'm going to rock flower power through Autumn/Winter too because of the blue backgrounds on these prints!

Warehouse floral print trousers

I especially love these trousers, I'm a real fan of a cropped trouser - I think they can be used for dates, dinners, work...a multitude of scenarios!

What are your favourites for Autumn?

Take one skirt... V&A collection at Oasis

I'm in love. The new V&A collection from Oasis is perfection in clothes form and the thing I covet more than anything is the pencil skirt. I'm recruiting all my clan to drop massive hints to hubs for my birthday! And just to prove how much wear I'd get, here's 6 different outfits I'd wear with it. Take note Mr T...
