Valentine's Day Gift Guide 2018 for her

The day of love is approaching ever closer and in the spirit of blogging, I decided to make a Valentine's Day gift guide. I wanted to do a gift guide last year when hubs had a milestone birthday and I bought him a LOT of small gifts. However, time and life got in the way of blogging and it didn't happen. Hubs and I actually made things Facebook official near Valentine's Day so it's a special time of year for us anyway...however, his gift buying skills are renowned for being quirky (at best!) so perhaps this can serve as a hint for him...

For the music lover

I recently bought a cream and rose gold Crosley record player from Urban Outfitters* for £89 and it IS AMAZING. It's so beautiful and fits perfectly into my little home. I'm completely in love with it. It's also a bluetooth speaker so I'm actually getting a lot more use out of it than just playing vinyl on it. It would be a perfect gift.

And alongside that, you could buy the vinyl version of "your song". How romantic! Again Urban Outfitters have an amazing selection*:

For the jewellery lover

A Pandora charm bracelet or bangle is always a lovely gift that keeps on giving. You can see my Pandora charm bracelet post here but it really is one of my favourite gifts.

Pandora also do gorgeous rings that can be stacked or worn individually. I've got the interlocking hearts ring which I wear every day but there is SO much choice - see below for just a few of the heart themed rings they do*.

Alternatively, any kind of delicate bangles that can be stacked are also a lovely idea. These both came from high street shops such as Primark, Dorothy Perkins or New Look.

For something special but not as expensive as Pandora, look out for Joma Jewellery.

I have this beautiful tri-colour necklace which I wear every single day. They have loads of styles of necklaces, bracelets, bangles etc and make a gorgeous jewellery gift which is special but not TOO expensive. You can see some of my favourites here*

For the Food and Drink Lover

Of course, there's always the option of treating your loved one to a really nice meal out or you could look for a gourmet experience as a gift.

Hubs and I are planning on visiting the Lakes Distillery soon which was given to us as a gift and we've also toured and eaten at the Hawkshead Brewery (their beer tapas is HEAVEN as is their beer battered fish and chips!)

You could combine this with a stay in a hotel (we stayed at the Low Wood Hotel but also love Armathwaite Hall in the Lake District, my post is here).

We often use Travel Zoo to find tours and offers and have never been disappointed, unlike other similar companies (Virgin Experiences.......... 😡)

A quick browse of their website shows that they've got deals for afternoon tea at The Ritz; wine tasting in Cambridge; brewery tours all over the country...it's always worth having a look on there!

For the Beauty Lover

For a start, every beauty lover will have a wishlist - whether that's an online wishlist or just things they want in their heads...so anything from there would be a great gift. If you're not sure, you could ask your other half to make a wish list on a website such as Cult Beauty and then get the details from there.

Alternatively, you could make up a pamper hamper filled with goodies for a pamper session at home. Favourites of mine include Lush bubble bars, bath bombs, face masks...and of course, I'd add a bar of chocolate, a little candle and a small bottle of prosecco to really luxuriate!

Perfume is always another good call - I adore the Jo Malone fragrances. My two favourites are Pomegranate Noir (a deeper, sexier fragrance) and Peony and Blush Sueded (more floral and feminine).

For the Interior Designer

The three Cs always go down a treat...cushions, candles and cocktail glasses!

These are some that are on my wish list*

Yankee candles are a classic and Katie Loxton candles always have the loveliest packaging. They burn really well and last for ages too!

I also love wax melts for scenting my home. You can buy wax melts from brands such as Yankee but I've made a discovery on Instagram of the most amazing smelling wax melts ever!

Homemade Scents by M makes gorgeous melts! She's currently relaunching her shop so keep your eye out for some clearance bargains and some delicious new stock! The link takes you to her shop or you can find her on Instagram.

Waffles, shot pots and I've even heard rumours of limited edition teddy bears are all available from Scents By M in a range of gorgeous scents! They're the strongest wax melts I've used and last FOREVER!

You could also attempt some DIY and make a personalised gift. I would have loved to received some decorative letters which I posted about making here. They're really easy and basically require painting craft letters then sticking gems on...

Hopefully there's enough in here to give you some ideas for a Valentine's (or birthday/anniversary/Christmas) gift!
