Ibiza as an over 30...

I recently spent a few days in San Antonio, on a girls holiday which, as an over 30, was quite the experience! We stayed at the Ibiza Rocks hotel (cue being old enough to have parented half the population there) and did our fair share of 5am finishes...so, what would I recommend as an over 30 partying in Ibiza??

Sunset Strip

You cannot visit Ibiza and not experience one of its amazing sunsets. They're talked about for a reason - they are absolutely spectacular. Sunset Strip is home to the original Café del Mar, the newer (and some say better) Café Mambo, Savannah and a couple of others. The bars along this strip are chilled out, sophisticated and well worth venturing out to. From gorgeous breakfasts to pre-parties for the biggest club nights, the Sunset Strip has all you need!

Sunset at Savannah

The sunset is truly spectacular from these bars and it's well worth booking a table to eat and drink around 90 minutes before the sunset. We booked a table at Savannah which came with a minimum spend of €60 - once we'd eaten delicious fillet steaks, drank a bottle of wine and gorgeous cocktails, we weren't far off the minimum spend. Topping it up to that by selecting from the gorgeous gin menu was the responsible thing to do.

Breakfast at Café Mambo

Café Mambo is one of the iconic bars along Sunset Strip and so we went there for breakfast after one of our 5am finishes. To say we were in need of some detoxing was an understatement...! Cue Café Mambo's breakfast club...

We ordered a jug of their skinny water which was a litre of fruit infused water offering maximum hydration, followed by the most delicious avocado toast I've tried. My bestie ordered scrambled egg, avocado and serrano ham on toast which was also delicious. You can also get a full English if that's the only thing that will cure your hangover.

Beach Bars

Around the bay a little, by the sandy beach, you hit the beach bars. Ocean Beach Club is one of the most well-known. Sadly, we couldn't visit as the rainy weather meant that it was closed. However, we did visit Itaca Beach Bar which is a sister beach bar to Ocean Beach Club. It had the same chilled out vibe and we were lucky enough to get a table overlooking the promenade, beach and sea. We spent a happy couple of hours here and managed to catch a sunset too.

All along there, there are lovely bars and restaurants that are chilled out in the day and liven up at night.

And that, in short, is how I (and my liver) survived a trip to Ibiza!
