My perfect summer lip with Max Factor

I don't know about the rest of you, but in summer I can't bring myself to do a matte lip. My lips are so dry anyway that I want ALL the coral/pink moisturising lip products. Enter Max Factor...

I received these products in an Influenster VoxBox for the purposes of reviewing and trying them out.

Universal Lip Liner - Max Factor

The universal lip liner is such a simple idea but one that was missing from my makeup bag! As I enter my mid-30s, I've noticed that my lipstick can feather around my lips, especially when I'm dehydrated and I don't always have the right lip liner colour to hand. This solves the problem! It's a waxy texture which glides on smoothly and absolutely prevents bleeding! I can't say that I've noticed any more longevity in my lipstick but preventing feathering is enough for me.

It's also perfect for those of us who cannot apply lip liner to save our lives. I have perpetually shaky hands when attempting anything precise so lip liner has traditionally been a nightmare!

Colour Elixir Lipstick in Pearl Maron

This lipstick is a beautiful formula - it smooths onto the lips and is really moisturising. The info that came with the products say that it's made of 60% emollients, conditioners and anti-oxidants and you can definitely tell! The colour has great pigmentation and smells gorgeous! A vanilla-y scent is always my favourite in a lipstick.

Colour wise, this probably isn't a colour I would have picked up myself as I'm not normally a fan of a pearlised finish in a lipstick. However, having worn it for a couple of days, I've been pleasantly surprised! The colour is perfect for summer being a coral/red/almost nude shade. I can see me wearing this with a golden eye and a glowing base!

Honey Lacquer in Honey Rose

Now this, for me, was the stand out product. As a child of the early 00s who grew up on Lancome Juicy Tubes, I LOVE a gloss, especially in summer. I also love a smokey eye and so often need a paler lip to suit. This fits my bill perfectly. The colour on the lips isn't as intense as the hand swatch and just dulls down my quite pigmented lips perfectly. I adore it. The texture is moisturising without being sticky and it definitely lives up to the claim of being as smooth as a lip balm. This will make its way into my evening makeup bag without a shadow of a doubt.

I think the lip gloss also looks great over a warm lipstick, such as the Max Factor one I received. It adds a lovely gloss and neutralises the colour a little, which is perfect if you don't love warm shades on your lips.

I've haven't tried Max Factor makeup for the longest time and this VoxBox has really intrigued me...I'll be heading down to Boots and picking up more items for sure!

What's your favourite summer lip?
