New Year's Eve GRWM

I'm spending NYE this year with some very close friends of ours and I can't wait! I'm so excited. I've been planning my makeup for some time and bought the perfect outfit the other day from H&M. A balance of dressy and casual with some absolute girliness thrown in for good measure!

I wanted a glowing skin, subtle smokey eye look for New Year's Eve and these are the products I chose to achieve that look with.

Glowing Skin Base Products

I use two types of primer before my foundation. The Baby Skin Pore Eraser from Maybelline* first to fill in my pores followed by L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer* which gives the most beautiful glow and lit from within effect when used under foundation.

I follow this with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation* which is one of my all time favourite foundations, especially when I'm looking for a glowing look. I finish the base by setting it with a loose powder, only used on my T-Zone where oil comes through easily. I'm currently using this W7 powder.

Contour and Highlighting

I cream contour first, using the Sleek cream contour kit in Medium*. This is warmer toned which suits my skin tone better. Cool toned contours look very grey on my skin. I actually set/bake my contour with the W7 Honolulu Bronzing Powder which is an incredibly pigmented, matte loose bronzing powder. It's way too dark for actual bronzing but it's brilliant at baking your contour if you're a warmer contour colour like me.

I then use the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder* to warm up my temples. I love this bronzer - it smells like chocolate! Finally, my favourite highlighter of the moment is the Laura Geller Gilded Honey highlighter* - this is seriously intense and I LOVE it!!

Eyes

I created my eye look with the Makeup Revolution Flawless 2 Eyeshadow Palette. I used a variety of the brown shades to deepen my crease, warming it up with the orange shades. I used the matte black to really define the outer V and a shimmery pink/champagne shade on the lid.

I finished it off with an eyeliner flick and lashings of mascara, both from L'Oreal.

Lips

I used the Miss Sporty lipliner in 11 - Coffee to line my lips before using the Makeup Revolution Rose Gold lipstick in Chauffeur* - one of my favourite nude lipsticks and a bargain at only £3!

Outfit

I paired this dusky pink tulle skirt with a grey jumper. Both of these are from H&M and I fell in love as soon as I saw them! Mr T (quite correctly) identified that my waist needed to be defined a little so I used this VERY old, lace elasticated belt to add some definition as the top and the skirt were both kind of floaty.

I accessorised with these rose gold bracelets and grey shoes which I bought ages ago!

I can't wait to put it all together on New Year's Eve!

How are you celebrating and what are you wearing?

Have a beautiful day, inside and out
